I'm new to the Ghost software, I've always used Acronis and had NEVER had the problems I'm having now with Ghost. What I'm trying to accomplish is simply taking an image of one Lenovo T530, and cloning it to another. The exact same machine. What am I doing wrong? I guess it's just that I'm used to using Acronis and I'm not getting the lingo Ghost uses, but they do anything but make it easy. I've used the Ubuntu boot option, but honestly, we plan to do enough of these images that we don't want to run all over our plant kicking users off their machines so we can image a machine. I should be able to sit in my lab and take an image of every machine on our network (while being used) without bothering the user with shutting down so I can boot to a USB device. At the same time, I should be able to do the same with cloning. Why does this have to be so difficult? People tell me Ghost software and Lenovo machines do not get along. Well, Symantec, we're not changing machine producers just to appease your software. This has to work or we move on to my desired software and do things faster. That's what we do this for right? Speed... Someone please help, I'm not my last nerve with this.
